Monday- Military Press

Posted by extremestrengthperformance on June 2, 2009

Today’s training looked like this:

  • Military Press- Warm-ups sets, 80% x 3, 85% x 3, 90% x 8!
  • Dumbbell Press- Over Head, Palms Facing- 5 x10
  • Dips- 70 Reps x BW
  • Tricep Push downs- 3 x 15
  • Reverse Hand Pulldowns- 4 x 8

I’m not sure why I did the tricep push downs today, other than to get a little pump in the triceps. I was not feeling the Dips today at all, but got through them. The weather is getting hotter and so is the garage!!!

Now go train, and train hard!

Saturday- Military Press

Posted by extremestrengthperformance on May 9, 2009

I was feeling pretty beat today, but training went well. Here is how it looked:

  • Military Press- Warm-up sets, 75% x 5, 85% x 3, 95% x 3
  • Military Press- 5 x 10 x 50%
  • Dips- 3 x 10 with 35lb Plate, 1 x 20 with BW
  • Ez-Bar Curls- 3 x 15

Quick and easy today. After Monday I will be into my deload week and I am looking forward to the rest. This has been probably my best phase so far, so I am hoping that the next is even better. I am hoping to bring another special feature to the blog very soon. I should know this week and as soon as I do I will let you know.

Also, if you are ever on Tumblr, make sure to check out Extreme Strength Performance there as well: http://extremestrengthperformance.tumblr.com/

Wednesday- Military Press

Posted by extremestrengthperformance on April 30, 2009

Everything felt strong again tonight as well. I am loving the way things have been going. Hopefully it will maintain for a while. Here’s how tonight looked:

  • Military Press- Warm up sets, 80% x 3, 85% x 3, 90% x 7!
  • 1-Arm Dumbbell Press- 3 x 8 x 61.6lbs
  • Dips- 4 x10
  • Seated Reverse Laterals- 4 x 8 x 30
  • Dumbbell Hammer Curls- 4 x 15 x 30

Quick and to the point. The whole session took about 45 minutes. I think the extra recovery time is going to help both my military press and deadlift, as they seem to be the lifts that suffer the most from doing each week.

Now go train, and traind hard!

Tuesday- Military Press

Posted by extremestrengthperformance on April 22, 2009

Today was a rough day, but it seems like I have been saying that every day since coming off my deload week. Oh well, no excuses though. Everything actually felt on par today, so no major complaints. Today looked like this:

  • Military Press- 75% x 5, 80% x 5, 85% x 7
  • Military Press- 4 x 10 x 50%
  • Dips- 4  x 10 x Body weight
  • Seated Reverse Laterals- 4 x 8 x 30lb
  • Hammer Curls- 4 x 15 x 30lb

Smooth and easy today. Going to get some rest tomorrow and prepare for deadlifts on Thursday.

Now go train, and train hard!
