What’s your excuse today?

All of us at some point have made an excuse not to train, or to not train very hard, or to just go through the motions because we are tired, sick, or just don’t have it mentally. Deload

The rest of this week is a deload week. I wont be doing much, but getting ready to get back into things next week. Saturday will be the start of Phase 5 in the 5/3/1 program for me. I am having good results so far. I am looking at adding in strongman training full-time. I am picking the brains of some of the best at Elite FTS to develop a combination program of strongman and the 5/3/1 or just strongman altogether.  My goal is to make my first strongman competition the WV State Championships in April 2010. I don’t anticipate making a huge impact in that show, but hoping to gain some great experience. We shall see how it goes. I should hear back about the tire tomorrow and as I stated previously, I picked up two solid stones behind my dad’s house. I am officially back to the working world tomorrow, so the funds will come a little easier now thank goodness.

Welcome

Welcome to the Extreme Strength Performance blog. This is the start of a journey to bring back the hardcore, blue collar training facilities that existed in the 1970′s and 1980′s to the Kanawha Valley. At present, my training takes place in my garage, which is better than any fancy mainstream gym.  There is no fancy equipment, but I have everything a person needs to get bigger, stronger, and faster. Nonetheless, I have additional pieces that I want to add to my arsenal. I will soon add some video to give you an idea of what I am working with and will update my blog as additional weapons are added.

I will provide an overview of my daily training. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a comment with your email address and I will get back to you. If you need help developing your own program and/or some guidance along the way, please leave your email address and we will discuss options further. If there are any hardcore lifters in the area who are dedicated to lifting, have a positive attitude, are honest and trustworthy, and not afraid to push the limits, then let me know if you might be interested in training with me.
